February 2020 The relatives of resident said for Manager’s birthday that she is a beautiful person inside with amazing and beautiful soul, genuinely care about people and that reflects with everything that she does. They feel very privileged and are very lucky to find Willow Lodge and Manager as a mentor, the staff do look after their dad well. The residents’ wife was very thankful what WL team do for her husband.
March 2020 The relative of resident wrote email to ask about resident and say thank you for the possibility of seeing his wife on 56th wedding anniversary. As this was difficult time of escalating coronavirus and visiting was suspended, we organised and decorated place in managers’ office to enable family to celebrate their BIG DAY. Husband wrote that he will not forget it.
March 2020 Relative of resident received from WL collage to alleviate the feeling of being far from his wife. He wrote that the collage gave him a lot of comfort and was thankful for that.
March 2020 We let relative know that we have the option to make video phone call. He replied that he does not have smart phone, hopefully shortly rectify this. He wrote as well “thank you for the care all you lovely people give to his wife and all the others in the home.
April 2020 We created collage and asked family if this will be alright to send to them. There was sensible time as mum was on EoLC. Family received the collage and wrote email “Thank you Gosia couldn’t have wished her to be looked after by anyone else”.
April 2020 Family wrote email to Willow Lodge to say that family is thinking about their mum and to thank you for the care and dedication.
April 2020 Family of resident sent card to Willow Lodge to say thank you to all staff. They expressed that they cannot cuddle him at this sad time of coronavirus pandemic, but they know that WL staff have cared for him well and keeping him safe.
April 2020 Husband of resident was calling to ask how resident is doing. He said to Manager over the phone that he appreciates our job and we are doing marvellous job; he was very thankful for that. He said that he would like to help us and we can call him anytime when we need anything.
April 2020 Relative was calling WL to ask about mum’s condition. All information given. She said that she cannot imagine that her mum could be in better hands and she appreciates all care we give her mum especially in this difficult time of Coronavirus pandemic.
May 2020 Resident brought the basket with sweets and card to say” To all the amazing staff in Willow Lodge. Thank you for looking after mum and the other residents during this time. It is comforting to know you are all there when we can’t come to visit. Thank you so much.
May 2020 Family of resident brought to WL homemade shields for all staff and card to explain how to use it and she add “Stay safe”. [We sincerely appreciate that gesture towards WL.]
May 2020 Family brought card to say thank you for all staff of WL, he wrote “I appreciate all your efforts in making mum’s stay at the home as dignified + respectful as possible. Lots of love”
May 2020 Rai donated WL with masks, visors and gowns through “Coronavirus – care packages for vulnerable. She wrote “Every donor wants you to know you are cared for and appreciated.”
May 2020 We sent family collage for resident’s birthday. He sent email saying “Thank you so much for Birthday party. It was lovely to see u all, looked so well, thanks again, God Bless to u all”.
May 2020 Relative was asking about resident’s condition; she has been updated with all information. Relative wrote email so say thank you to all wonderful staff of WL for all we do for and other residents
May 2020 Relative brought two packs of gloves and big box of sweets to say thank you. He wrote “To Gohisha + staff, many thanks to you all for everything that you do for our loved ones”.
June 2020 Placement Officer wrote in the email “I am so pleased that new resident is more settled and she is looked after with the care and professionalism in your care home”.
June 2020 We organised birthday for resident, her husband wrote to WL staff: I must please take this opportunity to thank both you and your excellent staff on the way they all helped us to celebrate my darling wife's birthday last Friday. It was quite obvious that they did it, not just because they had to, but because of the esteem in which they hold my wife that they wanted to. Please do let your staff know just how much that my son and I appreciate what they did to make it such a wonderful moment. Special congratulations to your chef for an excellent birthday cake. I won't deny that a few tears were shed whilst we were there, and a few more when we got back home, but that just went to show how much we appreciate the special attention that you extend to all of your residents. Once again, a great big thank you to you all for all of your efforts, and we look forward to visiting again under "normal" circumstances. God bless you all!
June 2020 Relative received collage from the Activity Coordinator, she was thankful for that and wrote that her mum loved it.
July 2020 Husband wrote email to say thank you for collage and newsletter. He wrote as well “I speak regularly to the manager who keeps me up to speed, and I know my wife could not be more cared for.”
July 2020 Husband wrote in the email “Many thanks for all the caring given by you and your magnificent team”.
